Advanced Open Water Course
Unlike the Open Water course, the advanced course focuses on actual diving experiences, without much of the academic classroom sessions and exams. It’s all about getting you into the water and doing what you love to do….DIVE!
There are two required dives that you must take. The Navigation Dive (hey, you need to be able to find your way around down there!) and the Deep Dive (you will be certified to dive to 30 meters, so you should know what it feels like to be down there!).
You can then choose from any three of the following dives: Boat dive, Search and Recovery dive, Night dive,Perfect Buoyancy dive, Drift dive, Computer dive.
What’s involved ?
The course is run in a relaxed manner with the Instructor who offers help, encouragement and expert advice to guide you through the various tasks that will develop a greater awareness of the environment and other excellent skill building exercises.
What do I need to start ?
You must be an Open Water Diver.
Vinadiving provides all equipment, boat trips, lunch, etc., for the duration of the course. We can lend you the SSI Manual for all SSI Courses but the PADI Manual is included.

Advanced Open Water course
Day 1:
7h30 – 13h30: You will be collected from your hotel and taken to the harbor where you will board the Vinadiving boat and head out to Mun Island – The first Marine Protected Area in Vietnam. Your Instructor will offer you details on all the available dive “Adventures” that you could choose for your Advanced Course in addition to the 2 core dives Navigation & Deep Dive. You’ll do 2 dive – your Navigation Dive & 1 Adventure dive.
After your second dive, we will back to the boat for LUNCH. You will probably find that you are hungry after your dives as diving burns a lot of calories, so we are going to feed you a full cooked lunch on the boat. After lunch, it is time to back to the harbour and drop you off at your hotel.
Navigation Dive
Day 2:
7h30 – 13h30: You will be collected from your hotel and taken to the harbor where you will board the Vinadive boat and head out to Mun Island – The first Marine Protected Area in Vietnam. Continue with 2 more Adventure dive of the course. You can then choose from any three of the following dives: Boat dive, Search and Recovery dive, Night dive,Perfect Buoyancy dive, Drift dive, Computer dive.

Day 3:
7h30 – 13h30: Begin the same. Today is the day you”ll be diving down to 30 meters “the equivalent height of a 10 storey building” on your Deep dive and then we got 1 more Adventure dive to do that morning
Deep Dive
Afternoon: Classroom Review the knowledge reviews sections of completed dives from the Adventure in Diving handbook. Complete all paperwork.
